Trust Priority Health & Safety Inc. to provide essential services for your safe workplace.
Workers who feel safe in their jobs are more productive, have lower lost work time and are generally happier in their work.
Policy & Procedure Manual
Most employers are required to develop a health and safety policy
for the workplace and implement a program to carry out the stated policy.
This applies to both provincially and federally controlled workplaces.
Priority can visit your workplace to determine where you are at in this process and then, as needed, provide the written health and safety manual for your company or update your existing policy material.
Priority can also provide restaurant owners and franchisees with a more
focused manual geared specifically to their needs. Back

Violence Policy Development
Priority will help you to do an assessment of the workplace and develop
your own policy on violence based on the results. Workers are also trained
in its use and how it is intended to protect them as per Bill 168. Back

Employment
Standards Act
Workers perform better and tend to continue with one employer longer when
there are good working conditions. The Employment
Standards Act (2000) sets out some rules of working conditions such
as wages, hours of work and record keeping, and identifies teh obligations
of employers in Ontario. Priority can help you develop and maintain great
working conditions for your workers/employees, in compliance with the
Act. Back to top.
WHMIS Review
The Workplace
Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) regulations require
that the EMPLOYER does a yearly REVIEW of the education program that was
carried out in the prior year(s). Priority can come to your facility to
determine, together with your committee or representative, the degree
of review or update that is needed - and then provide training as required.

Site Inspections
It is important that every workplace comply with the current
legislation and regulations. There are numerous laws/rules etc that have
a bearing on a workplace. Priority can visit your workplace and inspect
it for compliance to the health and safety rules and provide a written
report for your attention and action. We are also available as an impartial
observer to do a random audit of the workplace. This assists the employer
in monitoring safety in the workplace. Back to top
WSIB Workwell Audit
The WSIB sends out auditors to review your compliance with health and
safety rules and regulations. Failure to measure up to their expectation
can lead to significant fines. Let Priority come to your workplace, preferably
before the WSIB auditor, to evaluate your level of compliance.
Priority can then be a major help in getting your company ready by doing
a hands-on audit with resulting recommendations for changes in the workplace.
Insight and experience is crucial in WSIB matters and one of Priority's
trainers received training from the WSIB. We can provide written material
and training needs in areas where you may be deficient. so that you're
ready if you do get audited. Priority can also attend the workplace at
the time of your WSIB audit, and work with you to remedy any deficiencies
that are found. Back to top
WSIB Claims Management
WSIB is constantly looking at your claims record and performing comparison
studies of your company’s performance versus others in your classification.
Are you aware that there is a system of penalties built in to the review
schedule that they carry out? Priority will review your claims record
and evaluation by the WSIB (NEER, CAD-7, MAP or SIEF). Priority can guide
you through the process because of our years of experience in helping
clients recover excess premiums and fines. Back to top
